The NALIT Legislative Staff Achievement Award was created to recognize excellence in supporting the work of a state legislature and strengthening the legislative institution. As one of the fastest growing regions in the country, Raleigh, N.C., is rich with southern hospitality, award-winning restaurants and boasts a vibrant, walkable downtown packed with independent shops, galleries and food halls. With no shortage of activities, our downtown offers something memorable for everyone.
Legislative IT teams build essential, publicly funded systems. Open-sourcing them under permissive licenses can improve long-term value, resilience and sustainability without sacrificing independence or security.
The NALIT engagement committee is excited to announce the creation of 11 new ‘collections’ in our NALIT group portal. The collections have been compiled to help organize the information and discussions that have been posted to our group so far, and as a way of organizing future additions to our resources in addition to the search bar function.
Every day, you and your colleagues work behind the scenes to support the work of state legislatures. From drafting bills to making statehouses accessible, to keeping computer networks secure, legislatures couldn’t function without you. During the week of May 4-8, NCSL will celebrate your contributions. Please join us for a Town Hall with NCSL Staff Chair Lonnie Edgar, a webinar on reducing stress with former legislative staffer Amy Leneker, the annual shoutout competition and more!
